Burst pipes & leaks
Same-day shutoff, dry-out, and repair before the drywall goes soft. We’ll trace the leak back to the source, not just patch where it shows.

Drain cleaning
Cable, snake, and hydro-jet for kitchen, bath, and main line. Camera inspection on the main-line jobs so you see what we see.

Water heaters
Tank and tankless installs, anode service, and hot-water diagnostics on the same visit. We’ll tell you straight whether it’s worth fixing or worth replacing.

Faucets & fixtures
Kitchen and bath fixture installs with parts that won’t leak in six months. Bring the box, or we’ll source it.

Diagnostic first
Sewer line repair
Spot repairs, trenchless replacement when it fits, and root clearing for the old elms-and-maples backups. Camera before we dig.

Gas fitting
Permitted gas-line work for stoves, dryers, and outdoor grills. Done by a master gas fitter, signed off properly.

The Shop
Merrill Service Co works out of a small shop on New Pasture Road in Newburyport. The phone is answered by somebody who actually knows the trucks and the schedule — not a call center, not an answering service in another state. If you reach the voicemail, it’s because the line was already busy with somebody else’s leaking pipe.
We’re fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts. We run a small focused crew. We don’t take on more work in a day than the crew can finish well, which is the boring reason our reviews say what they say.
“Small enough to answer the phone” isn’t a slogan — it’s the entire shape of the business.
When the job goes well, you don’t hear from us until the next time something breaks. That’s the goal.
